Creating wealth = free milk!

Yesterday was a fun day in this creating wealth adventure. I had a free certificate to get a massage at St. Paul College, value $20. I wanted to be smart with a tip but not be cheap. Thus, I gave $5. My new total is $2. I think I am going to make it- tomorrow is payday.

Anyway, I also went to pick up my CVS prescription (on my health benefits card, so no out-of-pocket cost). When the cashier rang up my purchase, she said you have $5 in Extra Bucks (meaning I could spend this in the store). I perused the aisles and saw that Burts Bee’s face wash was on sale for $9.99. Nope, can’t buy that, I don’t have $4.99; more importantly, I didn't need it. Then, it occurred to me that I could get milk- for free! The $2.59 gallon was on sale for $2.19. This allowed me enough extra to "buy" two cup cake mixes (on sale for $1) and a 50-percent off Easter candy. My total purchase was FREE! Ha!

Finally, a co-worker followed up with me on editing his article. I also had a fun conversation about a new business idea- one that I could start anytime I want. Creating wealth is fun!
