Creating wealth

I am embarking on an adventure this week to create wealth. Each day, I am going to find an opportunity to save money or make money outside of my regular paycheck. Some choices might be really simple or common sense but I hope some creativity comes into play!

To start, this weekend, I decided to take cash out of my bank account. I am only allowing myself to spend $60 this week. On Saturday night, I was going out to the MN rollergirls and had committed to spend $11 on the ticket. To save on funds, I ate at home and only had one beer while out ($6 with tip). I had to get gas for Easter festivities ($15- I only filled up enough for the week), and bring asparagus ($5). I bought lunch at the coffeeshop while studying ($6) and drank water to save on costs. I also got a roll of quarters for $10 to do my laundry.

Doing the math, we see:

$11 (ticket)
+ $6 (drink+ tip)
+ $15 (gas)
+ $5 (asparagus)
+ $6 (lunch)
+ $10 (quarters - not spent, yet)
------------
$ 53

I have $7 cash + $10 (in quarters) left for the week. We will see how this goes!

Oh, and having breakfast this AM, I realized we were out of milk. Looks like it is going to be a toast, oatmeal and eggs breakfast week!
